EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
(On-site: Orangeville & Caledon East, Ontario)
Salary - $80 to $100K plus benefits

CaledonDufferin Victim Services (CDVS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing immediate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, confidential support for any person who has experienced crime or sudden tragedy 24/7. CDVS is a Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario (VCAO) program.

CDVS provides assistance and support to individuals and communities in the Town of Caledon and Dufferin County servicing 8 municipalities including Orangeville. Staff and volunteers provide free, confidential and non-judgmental support.

CDVS is funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), the United Way, the Town of Caledon and Dufferin County.

Executive Director Position

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will play a critical role in shaping the future of CaledonDufferin Victim Services. The Executive Director will oversee the organization’s strategic direction, financial sustainability, and program delivery, while fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation within the organization and alongside their community partners. The Executive Director has a staff of 2 FTEs along with 4 PTEs across two sites (Orangeville & Caledon East) as well as managing an operating budget of $500K.

What you bring to this role:
• Five+ years of senior leadership experience in Victim Services/Victim Witness, crisis intervention, social services, child protective services or similar not-for-profit agencies.
• Strategic leadership – develop and execute long-term strategies that balance immediate community needs with sustainable growth.
• Experience working with or working knowledge of both urban and rural communities, understanding their diverse challenges.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution skills; report writing, correspondence and public speaking skills.
• A proactive and visionary leader who embraces innovation and opportunities to foster staff growth and enhance service delivery.
• Exposure in working with Boards would be an asset.
• Proficiency with software applications including MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Financially astute with respect to operational and funding models.

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, Criminology, Psychology, Public Administration or a related field.

The successful candidate will be asked to provide:
o Driver’s License – “G” class
o Police Record Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screen
